About Us

Christchurch Live Steamers was started in January 2000 on land occupied by the Steam Preservation Society (Steam Scene). We started with 12 members and 560m of track which has grown over 10yrs to 35 members and 1km of mainline track with 800m of sidings.

Our club shares the Steam Scene property made up of forest and grassland. There is plenty of shade to have a picnic on the grass or use any of the BBQ tables. You can visit us as a family and ride one of our miniature trains. Birthday parties for the kids are most welcome as are company parties.
